Q: Can I make baby food from the pulp, in the same way applesauce is made...i.e. equal parts pulp and water?
A: Sure, you can use pulp to make baby food! Applesauce can be made many ways so I'm not sure if you are referring to blending or cooking.
This is what I would do for "pulp baby food":
Get apple pulp or any pulp of your choice and put it in a blender. Add just a little bit of fresh spring water. Blend it until it is a smooth puree. Doing this will make it a nice and smooth consistency for baby.
I do think the whole food is better for babies since it includes the juice and the fiber, but this is certainly okay too. It's a great way to use up the pulp and you can try different types of produce.
