Beet juice recipes have an earthy taste and are exceptionally strong. You should know that combine very well with carrots, cucumbers and apples for taste and nutritional support.
You can juice the greens with no problem; just make sure you have at least 2/3 of your recipe as other juice as greens are as potent as the beets. The greens are a good source of carotenoids that helps to prevent many types of cancer.
A little goes a long way with beet juice recipes, but they are an amazing liver and gall bladder cleanser and are a powerhouse of vitamins. They contain iron, calcium, sulfur, potassium, beta carotene, vitamin C and chlorine. They build up blood cells and stimulate the lymph glands.
Never drink it juiced alone. Always dilute it with another juice, as in these beet juice recipes below. Try to include a little beetroot juice into your daily recipes for well rounded nutrition in your juices.
3 carrots
½ beet with greens
½ cucumber
Cut the beet in half and cut the tops so that they are manageable. Cut the cucumber in half. Juice the carrots, beet, greens and cucumber together. Serve immediately.
6 carrots
½ beet with greens
3 sprigs of parsley
Cut the beet in half. Juice the carrots, beet, greens and parsley, alternating. Serve.
4 carrots
1 beet with greens
Cut the beet so that it will fit in the juicer. Juice the carrots, beet and greens as usual. Drink immediately.
4 carrots
1 beet with greens
7 lettuce leaves
Cut the beet so it will fit in your juicer. Juice the carrots and beet with greens, and then the lettuce, alternating. Don’t forget that rolling the lettuce in a round cylinder will make it easier to juice. Serve.
1 fennel bulb
2 apples
½ beet with greens
Core the apples and cut the beet and fennel to a smaller size for your juicer chute. Juice the fennel apples, and ½ beet with greens. Serve immediately.
½ beet with greens
3 apples
Core the apples and cut a beet in half. Juice the apples, beet and greens, alternating. Drink immediately. This is always a favorite and usually the most common juice recipe for beetroot juice.
4 carrots
1 beet without the greens
Handful of spinach
Cut the beet in half. Juice the carrots, beet and spinach together. Serve. This is a strong body cleanser, maybe not for the newbie juicer!
5 carrots
1 apple
¼ beet with greens
Core the apple. Juice the carrots, apple, and ¼ of a beet with some of its greens. Serve.
