Q: I am looking for a healthy (breakfast) meal replacement recipe for my 12 year old daughter. If possible, one that would help with weight loss. Thanks
A: Hi Tonya! If you want a balanced juicing recipe that tastes good for your daughter, try this:
5 carrots, 2 apples and a sprig of parsley
Remove the tops from the carrots, and the core from the apple, juice as usual.
This recipe is sweet tasting, a normal orange type color, and gives a wide range of nutrients for her growing body, like calcium, vitamin A, and pectin in the apples to help remove waste and any fat.
Grapefruit is great for weightloss, so try combining a few of those with mostly apples for another option. The apples take the bitterness away, have a great taste for kids and wonderful nutrients.

Also, if you want some variety, try switching and giving her a smoothie. It might help her curb hunger and is sooooo good for her, too.
