Do you love a good fruit smoothie?
They are the most common type of smoothie recipes that people make. There are so many options!
Fruits are very easily digestable, so they make a great first-thing-in-the-morning meal. Also a great ideas for a healthy dessert.
Try some of these favorites to have any time of day.
I enjoy them for breakfast, after a workout or for a great snack. Use frozen or fresh produce, they work equally well.
2 apples
½ cucumber
1 mango
Juice the apple and cucumber. Blend with the mango a few ice cubes. Blend until smooth.
1 orange
½ lime
1 medium papaya
Juice the orange and lime. Blend with the papaya and a few ice cubes. Add mango or passion fruit for a variation.
¼ cup of strawberries
¼ cup of blueberries
¼ cup of raspberries
¼ cup of cranberries
¼ cup of apple juice
Frozen versions of these fruits work just fine. Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
1 cup of pineapple chunks
1/3 cup of lemon juice
1/4 cup of honey
1 cups of nut milk
Place all ingredients in the blender and process on high until smooth. Serve immediately.
2 kiwi (peeled)
2 cups of chopped watermelon
2 tbsp of honey
1 cup of almond milk
Place all ingredients in the blender and process on high until smooth. Serve immediately.
½ cup of blackberries
½ cup of low fat yogurt
1/3 cup of apple juice
Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Serve immediately.
½ cup of blueberries
1 cup of strawberries
1 cup of orange juice
Place all ingredients in the blender and process on high until smooth. Serve immediately.
4 red or purple plums (pitted)
½ cup of yogurt
¼ cup of nut milk
1 tablespoon of honey
Place all ingredients in the blender and process on high until smooth. Serve immediately.
1 peach
½ cup of raspberries
1 cup of nut milk
2 tablespoons of honey
Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Serve immediately.
1 banana
6 oz of fresh orange juice
A tablespoon of sunflower seeds
Place all ingredients in the blender and process on high until smooth. Serve immediately.
1 orange
½ lime
1 small papaya
Few ice cubes
Place all ingredients in the blender and process on high until smooth. Serve immediately.
