Heartburn is a burning sensation in the chest related to digestive problems. May originate from hiatus hernia, indigestion or inflammation of the stomach.
Aloe works wonders for heartburn. If you have frequent problems, try eliminating acid type foods (like tomato sauce) and keep a bottle of aloe vera juice in the refrigerator. It's my go-to source for when I've eaten something that doesn't quite agree with me.
Try adding at little to your juice. If you find that it's not working, simply have more!
Fruits and vegetables to juice:
Bananas, Papaya, Beets, *Cabbage*, Carrots, Celery, Cucumber, Parsnips
Herbs:
Calendula, Cardamom, German Chamomile, *Dandelion Root, Dill, Fennel, Ginger, Licorice, **Marshmallow Root, Parsley, **Slippery Elm Bark Powder, Aloe
*antacid herbs
**soothing herbs
I think aloe vera juice works the best for a sour stomach and any discomfort in the esophagus. All you need is a few tablespoons. If it's really bad, then you can have a few ounces, no problem. I always keep a jar in my house because you just never know if you or or someone around will have this discomfort. For long term conditions, try having aloe juice every day with the suggestions above.
