Juicer Comparisons: tips for buying the right type of juicer

Centrifugal, Single or Twin Gear? Which one to choose when doing juicer comparisons?

Chances are whatever juicing machine you decide to get you’ll have it for quite a while, especially if you get a good one.

Let’s start with some questions and juicer comparisons to help you make a clearer decision to review juicers.

What do you want your juicer for?

Do you want it to juice for occasional Saturday breakfasts, a juice fast, or to juice daily? If you want it to juice daily for an optimal nutritious diet, or for quarterly or yearly fasting, consider a gear juicer. If it’s just for Saturday breakfast or a party, go with a centrifugal.

How important is it to get the ultimate amount of nutritional value in your juice?

If it’s not the most important thing on your list, you can go with a centrifugal juicer. On the other hand, if its important because part of your juicing goals are to add to your health, consider a single or twin gear.

Do you want to be able to do other things with your juicer?

If not, go with the centrifugal or a cheaper single gear. If so, then the gear juicers provide you much more features then just juicing. You’ll find yourself making banana ice cream, and fresh nut butters in no time.

Something to keep in mind with juicer comparisons: Centrifugal juicers while cheaper and easier to obtain, often times cost the same amount as some single gear juicers.

Make sure you review all types of juicers before making your decision. After all, you really can’t go wrong. I've tried to help you out on this site with my knowledge and juicer experience, so take advantage. They all juice fresh juice, which is ALWAYS superior to store bought.

There are 3 types of juicers

Candidates for Centrifugal Juicers

  • Great for the occasional juicer
  • For those that don’t care about having the versatility of the gear juicer functions (grain mills, wheatgrass, nut butters, baby food)
  • More inexpensive for the budget conscious
  • For those who are not super concerned about getting the most nutritious juice

Candidates for Single Gear Juicers

  • For those that love the fact that it provides a higher juice yield and high nutritional value from the produce.
  • Great for those who plan on possibly or definitely making nut butters, baby food, or frozen sorbet with the homogenizing features.
  • For those interested in possibly grass juicing.
  • For those who were going to spend at least $130 on a juicer, that want the best bang for the buck.

Candidates for Twin Gear Juicers

  • For people who want a juicer that does everything the single gear can do and more…
  • For those who are serious about juicing and want to use it and it’s versatile functions for a lifetime.
  • Provides the most nutritious juice and versatility available from a juicer.
  • For those that are able to spend at least $300 on a juicer (well, it's more then a just a juicer, now isn't it? Let's just call it a new kitchen appliance :)

Take a closer look at different juicers. Whichever juicer you choose, you'll enjoy its use for a lifetime of enhanced health and palatable drinks! No juicer can be a wrong decision. All types ultimately juice...it bascially comes down to the price point for your budget, the versatility it provides, and the effectiveness of its juicing process.
