Q: I'm juicing every day and trying out different methids to utilize the pulp i.e. using it in soups, salads etc. - I'm 8 months pregnant and I'm curious to know if I can use the vegetable pulp to make my own baby food when the time is right! Thanks
A: Hi and congrats on the new baby!! Well, I do like to use the pulp for many things as well. I wouldn't, however, choose to use it in baby food. This is a personal preference :) as I know others do.
The reason I don't think it's best idea because I think baby's digestive systems are so sensitive and still forming, so I believe they should be given food in thier whole form when they are introduced to solids. By removing the juice I'm just not so sure that it wouldn't give them flatulence or cause thier body to work a little harder, just because they are so young.
Know that others do though, so if you really want to, my suggestion would be to add no more then one tablespoon of pulp per a 2.5oz baby food jar.
I'd love to hear others feedback if you've done this to help Shiv out. Please comment below if you'd like to share your experience.
