Q: Hi! I have recently started adding milled flax seed to my foods because of it's health benefits.
I have also decided to start juicing and I'm wondering if I can add the flax seed to my juices.
A: Hi Lynette! Of course, definitely, you can add milled flax seed to your juices. It does have many health benefits and is great to get added fiber and vitamins into your diet. It's star power is in the lignans, fiber and omega 3 essential fatty acids. You can't go wrong!
Sometimes people don't like how it tastes and combines with juice, but if you don't mind, it's great. Another option for fiber and vitamins is chia seed. This makes juice super gel like, but if you add a little you don't notice too much.
If you find that you don't like the flax seed in your juices, then add them to smoothies. I never ever taste the milled flax seed in my smoothies so I prefer it this way.
I really like this brand and type (golden):
