Many people use different forms of weight loss juicing every day. There have been many successful cases. I get emails all the time from people just like you that have replaced a meal a day with juicing or who have juice fasted. Sometimes, results are unbelieveable, especially for those juice fasting or on a juice diet plan.
If you are considering juicing for weight loss, it’s a good option. Here are the reasons why.
1. Juice fasting
2. Juicing to replace one or more meals a day
Studies have shown that juicing and fasting are the safest and best way to reduce. If you’re asking if this is safe, consider this:
Any reducing program should not only be able to take inches and pounds off, but also be able to supply the body with the necessary nutrients to keep in good health during and after. Juicing fills this requirement.
Juice fasting is the safest way to reduce weight. On average, you lose one pound a day. A 14 day fast would take off about 14 pounds. If you follow some general guidelines on juice fasting that are outlined on the juice fasting page, you should be able to tackle it on your own.
A suggested read (and affordable, as it is out of print) is How to Keep Slim, Healthy and Young with Juice Fasting by Paavo Airola. It’s a little baby book chock full of how to juice fast yourself with proven case studies, if you feel you’d like to read more about it.
One popular and possibly easier way to shed a few pounds using fresh juice is to replace a solid meal each day with a glass of juice.
Replacing meals with juice gives you the nutrition you need, keeps you full, is not over-caloric, and is cleansing. You may even find you don’t notice that your meal is being replaced because fresh juice is so satisfying. It is a much better option then using chemcial laden, lab designed diet drinks.
It is best to use vegetable juice for this purpose. Limit the amount of fruit juice to limit the amount of sugar you are adding to your diet.
The best meal to replace with a glass of vegetable juice is breakfast. Your body can digest juice the best in the morning and is an optimal time for your body to accept juice.
Another good time to use juicing for weight loss is when you would normally snack, i.e., before bed. It’s best to not having anything in your body before sleep, but a calming juice like an apple-celery assists your system to calm and is light on your belly.
Juices of celery, watercress, parsley, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, and grape juice are specifically valuable. More suggestions and recipes for weight loss juicing can be found here.
Blending these vegetables in a blender, a smoothie, also work well for a great nutritious meal!
